Use the tapered injection needles as instructed by your healthcare professional or as described in the instructions for use for your injection device.
Check for sterility: paper tab and outer needle cap must be unbroken.
Do not use a bent or damaged needle. Dispose of used needles and needle caps safely e.g. in a sharps container.
Always pinch up while working with needles greater than 6 millimeters in length. Even when using 4 millimeter needles, a pinch is necessary when using on children. Pen needles are typically inserted at a 90-degree angle.
